So I've abandoned LotR for the moment in the favour of HP (I remembered that I sort of liked those books a little bit and figured I'd be more inclined to read them).

Harry Potter is SO MUCH funnier after you've watched A Very Potter Musical. I laughed for about five minutes when I read this:

"One morning in mid-December, Hogwarts woke to find itself covered in several feet of snow. The lake froze solid and the Weasley twins were punished for bewitching several snowballs so that they followed Quirrell around, bouncing off the back of his turban."

AH IMAGINE AVPM VOLDY'S REACTION AHH!

I totally just made up that I read Rubicon! Haha. I checked the pages and entered it, without actually thinking about the fact that I hadn't read it as I found it REALLY hard to get into. So I left it and moved onto Dickens ^^

So I suck at this. Last week I... well, I didn't read anything from Wednesday to Sunday. But the library FINALLY got Pretties in stock so I could read that. And then yesterday my Internet went down (I'm writing this in a maths lesson), so that got rid of a few distractions. I'm still doing pathetically badly compared to Ziggy, though. *fail*.

Well, I finished Down Under :) I really do like Bill Bryson's books, they're very informative but so easy to read!
Last night I read Night World Bind-up vol 2 (books 4-6) all in one go because I LOVE those stories ^^. Then on the train home today I read Bind-up vol 3 (books 7-9) :D.
I'm at home for the weekend so I don't think I'll get much reading done, but I've bought 'Rubicon' with me. Back to the non-fiction then!

Books read:
History of Britain - Pocket Companion.
Boudica: Dreaming the Eagle - Manda Scott

It's been a slow two days. I couldn't really get into this last book. It's readable enough, but a little too "oh yeah I'm hip and down with the kids" for me (the protagonist always calls his female friends "babe", for example. *shudder*).

Uglies - Scott Westerfeld
The Magicians' Guild - Trudi Canavan
The Novice - Trudi Canavan

I have had an epic weekend of reading, mainly due to feeling ill and having a mammoth hangover on Saturday, and having a lazy day today ^^.
Also, I've had to put Bryson on the back burner as I lent it to my housemate who then took it home with him for the weekend :(
So I shall re-commence with Down Under tomorrow!
But for now, 'tis updates time!

Books read:
History of Britain - Pocket Companion.
Boudica: Dreaming the Eagle - Manda Scott

So The Black Magician trilogy is AMAZING. I just finished the last book five minutes ago and I'm in bits. Bits, I tell you.

(Semi-spoilery fun fact: my gaydar is so enhanced from reading slash fanfiction that as soon as two of the main male characters met, I texted my friend Beth (who lent me the last two books) "They are so going to end up doing it." And guess what? THEY DID! Hah!)

Urgh, illness. It sucks. All I've wanted to do these past few days is curl up in my duvet with my DS and my book, but I've had to work *cries*
Anyway.
I've not read much since Monday, and so Moosh is winning ¬.¬
I can't allow that to happen, so I'm going to go to bed with Bill and make up my numbers!

I am a BAD reader.

So I finished Uglies on Friday, as you know, and decided to wait until Monday for the sequel. But it turns out that NOBODY AT ALL has the second book in the series. So, I'm moving on for now. I have two days' reading to catch up on.

I've just read a whole book in one day. I haven't done that since... I actually can't remember when. >_<
It was an okay book, but it wasn't as good as people made it out to be.
I won't be buying and/or reading the next 3 books in the series though!

So as a quick update...

History of Britain - Pocket Companion.

Welcome readers!
I could re-iterate what Moosh has already said, but what would be the point in that? And as she said, it's late and I too am lazy ^^.
But you should know:
